Jessica Van Antwerp, one of our members, is excited to announce that she is now the sole owner of her international wellness adventure company Integral Travel. She is excited to make some changes to her trip programs, including having taken the Thai massage training out of the trips to open up her offerings to a wider audience. The journeys will instead rest on a foundation of daily mindfulness practices that combine yoga, qigong, and meditation in a unique and accessible way, but will continue to provide immersive travel experiences that Integral Travel has been known for for over 15 years. And she is excited to have just launched the marketing campaign for her next trip to Thailand in February 2019. None of this would have been possible for her without the support of the Shambhala community and on her behalf, we are extending you all her immense gratitude!
The Gainesville Shambhala Group has come together to purchase their own building. With support from Shambhala Credit Union and High Plains Bank, this group has succeeded at laying the ground for long term financial health and growth. What a great community. Thank you Gainesville! Call us today to see if your community non-profit or small business could benefit from our innovative approach.
The incidents of recently alleged misconduct in Tibetan Buddhist spiritual communities are highly unfortunate and unacceptable. That said, it is vital to understand that Shambhala Credit Union is not owned by any religious or other entity. Our organization has no ties to the actions of the individuals accused of this misconduct. We highly value our member/shareholders and strive to serve them with the utmost respect, safety and compassion.
Starting on September, 1st 2018, Shambhala Credit Union will be locating its offices to 1345 Spruce Street in Boulder. The office will include a separate, outside entrance from Spruce Street. This move will make the credit union much more accessible and visible to our field of membership, and further our goal of making sane financial resources available to the community by helping finance all kinds of personal business and social initiatives. We look forward to better visibility in this bustling part of downtown Boulder!
A wonderful interview with our President, Alex Halpern, by Shay Castle on June 25, 2016.
As anyone who has been involved with us over the last four years can attest, our new website had a very long gestation period. At the end of day, this transformation could not have happened without a grant from the Shambhala Trust.
