Shambhala Credit Union Customer Jessica Van Antwerp Buys Integral Travel

August 29, 2018 By Bob Sutherland

Jessica Van Antwerp, one of our members, is excited to announce that she is now the sole owner of her international wellness adventure company Integral Travel. She is excited to make some changes to her trip programs, including having taken the Thai massage training out of the trips to open up her offerings to a wider audience. The journeys will instead rest on a foundation of daily mindfulness practices that combine yoga, qigong, and meditation in a unique and accessible way, but will continue to provide immersive travel experiences that Integral Travel has been known for for over 15 years. And she is excited to have just launched the marketing campaign for her next trip to Thailand in February 2019. None of this would have been possible for her without the support of the Shambhala community and on her behalf, we are extending you all her immense gratitude!

King Ashoka was a prominent and legendary historical figure who lived in India during the 2nd Century BC.  It is said that he converted to Buddhism after seeing the terrible carnage of the Kalinga War, which he initiated.  In his 1920 book Outline of History HG Wells writes,  “Amidst the tens of thousands of names of monarchs that crowd the columns of history, their majesties and graciousnesses and serenities and royal highnesses and the like, the name of Ashoka shines, and shines, almost alone, a star.”
